Goal: To provide researchers, patients, and community members basic information that may help influence engagement in patient-centered health research in Arab and MENA American communities.

The guide consists of 4 parts:

• Patient Section - targeted towards patients and community members interested in learning more about research and their rights in the research process.

• Provider/Researcher Section - targeted towards researchers who may be new to the field or interested in engaging this population.

• Substantive Section - provides information for both patients and researchers on specific areas of interest (i.e. sexual health, child health and more).

• Index - common terms that are used in research that are defined in plain language that can be used as a reference for patients and community members.
